Each itinerary has been planned in depth to show or include the must see sites and many excursions along the way. At Ocean View Travel Agency we know that your personal space and free time are important. Since each person is different and some like to have less or more activities or excursions in any given day we have not included every activity that you can do in each area you go to. You will have the chance to go on special excursions during your leisure day or when you have down time from the scheduled itinerary. There will also be other activities offered during your scheduled excursions. For example: You can add an extra excursion to zipline in Samana. This and different optional excursions are available through your Tour Director at the start of the tour.

In the Dominican Republic all electrical outlets are 110. It is possible to have a power surge so we recommend using a portable surge protector. Additionally, plugs/outlets differ everywhere, so you might need a universal electrical travel adapter before you can use your appliance.

Hotels offer a laundry service, and in certain areas there are places available to wash you own cloths. We do recommend bringing enough clothes for your whole trip because this can be inconvenient in your already full schedule.

Yes, the Tour Director will implement a seat rotation system so each passenger rotates his or her seat in the vehicle daily. This allows for everyone to experience different views through out the trip along with maximizing interaction with other passengers.

Ocean View Travel Agency is dedicated to the well being of all travelers. If you need to see a doctor or need to be hospitalized for any reason your Tour Director will assist you. Our Customer Care Dept. will be in contact with you and will be there to help you until you either rejoin the tour or return home.

We strongly recommend buying traveler’s insurance.

Ocean View Travel Agency apologizes in advance, but there are no refunds made for absences from a tour, including but not limited to, missed meals or excursions.

No, the water is not properly disinfected or softened. This can lead to kidney stones or worse becoming severely sick. Your Tour Director will be able to guide you where there is drinking water available. If you are at a restaurant only drink bottled water.

We have a no smoking policy in all of our vehicles but, we will make sure you have enough stops through out the way to make sure you are comfortable.
